The three Winter Musketeers... Los tres Mosqueteros Invernales

Hello, everyone! Today we want to show three of Pauli's favorite winter outfits, a sort of send off for the freezing cold season. There's a little bit of everything in here, so let's get right into it, shall we?

She is wearing a 15 US$ pair of jeans (a real bargain here, taken from a Korean store in her hometown, a store set up by immigrants that has really good prices and some nice models here and there), a hand-me-down (Mom's) floral pattern long-sleeved shirt, a red sweater of 15 US$ (again a very good deal here from the corner of  Santa Fe and 9 de Julio, whereas in any other store a sweater would be around 25 US$ or even more), and her Oxfords!

Look at Berni's! Aren't they cute? We really had a hard time digging them out from forsaken stores in Recoleta (one of Buenos Aires' neighborhoods) and forked out the big bucks for them (Pauli's cost almost 100 dollars and Berni's 70 dollars, which is a lot for us, given the inflationary rates and all). The deal  is that not many shoe makers plunge to the opportunity of making them, so they are kind of rare occurrences, just some minor imitations. Spring seems to have more room for Oxfords (without heels), at least that is what the window shopps summer collection preview has on display.

Here she is wearing one of the skirts she made on her own (more of that in an upcoming installment of DIY) a 15US$ sweater (it is really hard to find a bargain of this brick-orangy color, cuz the problem with cheap items is that its colors and fabric fluctuate between standard and tacky. This is from a store called "Todo 20 pesos" on Sta. Fe street, downtown Buenos Aires (where she bought the red sweater above), a nice T shirt with a bow on it (bought on that same outlet on Sta. Fe street at 5 US$), and her brown boots, which cost her 50 US$ back in winter '10. To top it all off, she wore her latest Todo Moda aquisition, a charm bracelet, and a home-made necklace of a hummingbird. She bought the chain and bird in a "mercería" (notions store in American English) at 1,5 US$ when the whole thing would be 5 US$ in any outlet.

And last we show you her very DIY-ish outfit number 3, with a self-made skirt, a sample sweater from the DIY section, and some really nice flats she got on Florida street at 22 US$. And voilá! Oh, and a pearl bracelet from Todo Moda...

See you on the next entry!

This was Berni and Pauli of B&P

Bonus track: Taking it literal

This time we are really pushing the envelope on taking things literally literal, so here we present you with Madonna's "Frozen." We believe it is quite self-explanatory. Enjoy the wonderful effects!

Bonus track: Literalmente
